By Kenneth Garger. June 18, am Updated June 18, am. A plea deal agreed upon by an Idaho woman accused of having sex with teenage boys was reportedly rejected by a district judge on Wednesday. Amanda Katherine Steele, 34, had struck up an agreement with prosecutors over the case stemming from her November arrest for allegedly sleeping with teens who would skip school to see her, East Idaho News reported. The teens reportedly consented to the encounters. But Steele was charged under a state law that says and year-olds cannot consent to sexual relations with adults at least five years older in age, the report said.

As reported by East Idaho News , District Judge Darren Simpson struck down the proposed amended charges filed against year-old Amanda Katherine Steele, from the town of Soda Springs, who was initially charged with three felony counts of child sexual battery committed by lewd conduct, regarding her alleged sex acts with teen boys. District Judge Darren Simpson did not think the amended charges filed against Amanda Katherine Steele, 34, fit the alleged sex offenses. The signed plea agreement changed three felony counts of child sexual battery committed by lewd conduct to two counts of felony injury to a child. According to court documents, the boys would skip school and Latter-Day Saint seminary so that they could have sex with Steele, who was living in Arco, Idaho, at the time of the inappropriate sexual relations. I envisioned spending many summer nights with my family — which includes my 6-year-old, 4-year old, and 2-year-old — soaking in the hot tub. But after reading about the safety of hot tubs and children, I wanted, as both a parent and a pediatrician, to make sure other parents were aware of the additional hazards a hot tub can pose for children, and of how to make your hot tub experience with your children a safe one. About one-fifth of those deaths were drownings of children under the age of five. The CPSC states that spas and hot tubs should be covered with a locked safety cover when not in use, and children should be kept away unless there is constant adult supervision. The CPSC has developed a voluntary standard for drain covers that helps reduce the risk of hair entanglement, and advises consumers to make sure they have drain covers that meet this standard. The bottom line: no one should submerge their head underwater in a hot tub. If the drain cover is missing or damaged, shut down the hot tub or spa until the cover is replaced. Consider your hot tub temperature.
